Director of Music

J. Matthew Moore

Matthew began his life in church music at the age of 12, as pianist for his neighborhood
Methodist church. Having started piano study in first grade he went on to study organ and voice in high school and held part-time church organist/director positions in Methodist, Presbyterian and Lutheran churches during his early/mid 20’s. After studying Organ Performance and Vocal

His choirs have performed major choral works with orchestras and toured nationally. He has produced many concerts, conducted community choruses, directed choirs at Reformed and Orthodox Jewish Temples, and performed as a tenor soloist and organist in Michigan, New York, New Mexico, West Virginia and Kentucky. In his free time his nerdy interests include adding to his “to be read” book collection, Irish/British culture and television, genealogy and baking.
